Nomination Question

Hi all,
Just curious. I received a nomination from my senator in November, a Congressional nomination in December, and a Presidential nomination in December as well. Does this increase my chances of an appointment? Is the presidential nomination something the academy looks highly upon?
 
From what I can tell, officially the answer is no, but unofficially some think it helps. *shrugs

You asked two different questions that have two different answers.

Having three nominations allows you to compete three different times on a "slate" The MOC's slate is 1 opening per MOC and the Presidential Nomination has 100 spots available, though there are usually 600-800 apply for a Presidential Nomination so the ratios are similar. If you do not win one of those, then you go to the NWL and compete again for the top 150 Nationally and then you may have a chance as an additional appointee as they finish the class. So competing three times gives you a much better chance than just competing once.

Nominations are all looked at the same, one type is not more valued than another.
