Is there a complete and up-to-date appointment list somewhere accessible? I am sure the Class of 2022 appointment thread does not reflect all appointments and I am trying to get a more clear picture of how many have been awarded as well as from what states.

No. Only USNA admissions knows that.

Ah yes, that one!
Obviously not paying attention to what forum I was in.

Although if you look back on past years you can see that posts here represent 10-15% so do the math.

From past records, about one eighth of appointees are on the list, so multiply the current number on the list times 8 for an approximate number of appointees so far. Roughly 320, and you know they extend an appointment offer to around 1500 because each year, hundreds choose a different path than USAFA. Still many appointments to be made.

So what if there are much more than 1200 qualified candidates accepted their appointment? Is the Academy going to revoke some appointments?

No. They will not revoke any appointments. Admissions knows what they are doing. They have been doing this a long time. They have a good idea of acceptance and drop out rates. If more than expected accept their appointment, they still have to meet USAFA wide numbers mandated by law, so they may lower the appointments offered to the following class if necessary.

I believe that as the weeks go on in the spring, Admissions will fine tune their quantity and pace of extending appointment offers, taking into account the number of appointees who actually decline, until they end up with just the right number at the end. This is why, after the big tide of appointments in mid-March, the rate of acceptances tapers down to small batches; i.e. they receive ten declined slots, freeing up a certain number of slots, and so it goes until they reach about 1200.
