It seems that SLE acceptances are slowly coming out...

However, I haven't got any notification from USMA... Should I be worried (I applied around 11AM PST on the day when it opened, because when I tried to register at early in the morning my application and my laptop had some technical errors..)? Because I'm super frustrated that while everyone else is getting the acceptances, I'm still waiting in my desk staring at that "pending" status...

Also, do USMA process Session 1 and Session 2 candidates at a same time? Or do they select people for Session 1 first then move on to Session 2 candidates?

Thank you so much!

ALSO, does anyone know if changing from session 1 to session 2 is possible (assuming I got accepted)? Because I have just realized that (just got my Feb. ACT score back) I will have to retake my ACT in June....

SLE acceptances come out on a rolling basis, with only the first few coming out last Friday. Based on past years and the other summer seminars they will come out once every week or so. Please do not get discouraged, of those who I have spoken to only a few have gotten in.

With regards to this question, I applied and was accepted to Session 2. I do not believe that the session you applied for matters in when you will hear. The decisions of admissions are out of our hands. Hang in there, and hope to see you there!

Your frustration is understandable and we've all been there but I'm going to be blunt....you cannot control the situation and you're doing yourself no favors sitting at your "desk staring at that pending status." Get away from the desk, go workout, hangout with friends, study for that next SAT/ACT. Admissions will not make their decision based on how many times you hit the refresh button. The real waiting game begins when you're applying for the next incoming class. "Hurry up and wait" is a common saying in the military and this is only the very beginning. You shouldn't be worried, there are people who find out they've been accepted on the first day notices are sent out and on the last day. If you're not accepted, it may feel like it but it is not the end of the world. SLE, or any other summer seminar, is a great experience but it has little bearing on your ability to actually be accepted to WP or any other SA. Good luck to you, I wish you the best!

LOL - not to minimize how you feel but if this is super frustrating - you ain't seen nothing yet when it comes time to submit your formal application and you are waiting for DODMERB results, uploads of documents and waiting for the BFE! Deep breathes!
