I think a lot of the re applicants come from competitive districts where you have many qualified applicants. My DS had high SAT's, 4.7 GPA , lot of activities, state football champions, but still was beat out. It was something that he wanted for so long, reapplying was just a given. From everyone I talked to, the Academy really likes college re-applicants as it shows they are very committed.

Fingers crossed for our DD who was a self prep this year and is a re applicant!

Our DS was just contacted (yesterday) directly by our MOC. They said that we would get an e mail from the USNA as well as a portal change later this week. His BGO said he found out last week, but sounds like they wait for the MOC to notify the the applicant.

Last year, when put on the wait list. The portal was changed first and then the following day he was sent an email.

Our DS was just contacted (yesterday) directly by our MOC. They said that we would get an e mail from the USNA as well as a portal change later this week. His BGO said he found out last week, but sounds like they wait for the MOC to notify the the applicant.

Last year, when put on the wait list. The portal was changed first and then the following day he was sent an email.
