I don't know why some kids here so quickly and for others, it takes forever. Do you ?Yes, there is still hope. Until the TWE arrives, which could be as late as April 15th, he is still in the hunt.

A ton of factors go into the timing. Of my BGO slate, I have two candidates that were virtually identical, one received an Appointment over a month ago, the other is still under review. The one still waiting had a completed packet in before any of my other candidates. It's a process...I don't know why some kids here so quickly and for others, it takes forever. So, I'm curious, how do BGO's keep tabs on status of their slate of candidates? Do they have a special kind of portal access that lets them see the status of their "slate," or do they get communications from admissions with updates, or is it just feedback from candidates?
Yes. They have their own BGO portal.
Assuming that the BGO portal shows the candidates' Congressional district (even though they may not know which nom source was actually charged, if more than one nom source exists), are BGOs at liberty to share that info if asked? As in, "Why, yes, in fact, there's been a candidate appointment from the 92nd district of Calizona, it was offered on 1 February."? As a BGO, would you recommend candidates ask for such intel? The MoC's staffers seem pretty tight-lipped.
Was my DS not forming a bond with BGO a mistake?
Great Posts Doolie. My DS has not spoken to his BGO since a week after interview. No other reason than he is a very patient young man. Yesterday I saw first crack in the wall, when he said "You think we should call someone?" my response was stay patient good or bad its almost over. Any upside or info if he were to put a call into BGO. Also every once and awhile you will see a post on the sight that implies that applicant has a pretty close relationship with BGO. BGO sat with us and then made sure to introduce DS to all of the faculty and admin personnel, and really schmoozed DS up to the muckity-mucks, "I want you to meet my top candidate" which I thought was really generous.
