Prep School to USAFA Appointments Timeline 2018?

Hi, how do the C/C's find out about appointments? Is it in groups or 1 on 1? What's the timeframe when they find out? Before or after spring break?

I'm going to say after since spring break has come and gone and I have not heard anyone getting appointments from the USAFA prep yet.

If anyone has please share.
 
Last year, on the Thursday before TX, this video was taken of the C/C's receiving their appointments. It's going to be another month or so before they get official word, less than a week before graduation.

 
Only have anecdotal knowledge having spoken to several preppie families with cadets now in the 2021 class. The notification period varies but is quite late in the cycle, perhaps informed by the number and percentage of direct appointment acceptances, not sure .... The families that I know did not hear until mid-May. Best of luck!

very cool that they call the entire class into auditorium to announce they have received appointment at the same time, since they spent the last 10 months working together towards that goal.
 
Those that were offered appointments were called to a briefing on Monday at 1630, following completion of TX. It was quite a combination of relief, excitement, and accomplishment for each C/C. Those that were not offered appointments had separate 1:1 conversations with leadership to break the news.
