i have a question regarding B and B for the day before 25 June. is anyone else doing it? did you receive information for your sponsor families? i haven't gotten mine yet, and they said they would let you know by mid June of who your sponsor family is and whatnot. i already tried contacting by phone and email, but no luck. if this falls through the cracks, i'll have to taxi and hotel the night before. anyone else in the same boat?
 
it's perplexing beyond all imagination. booking hotels now would be almost impossible. i guess we sleep outside and walk?
 
i got a phone call yesterday giving me my bed and breakfast family information
it might take them a couple of days to call everyone
 
My son's B&B family called him on Monday with their name and cell phone information. Said the Mr. was '99 AFA grad.
 
Yeah, same here as aggie. An AOG B n' B representative called me yesterday with my sponsor's info. Hopefully you all should be receiving a similar call soon. :)
 
word. i guess i'm just impatient. or that my dad is getting on my case. maybe both. :rolleyes:
 
they put me up in a resort in the springs... anyone in the same boat?
 
I just signed up Monday night so I guess it could be a little while before I hear. And NChopeful,where at? Think they're short hosts, so they're putting some people in hotels?

that would be weird. really expensive on their part.
 
My son received his B&B host contact info about 10 days ago. When he called, his host told him that he is one of a total 6 appointees being hosted. I don't know what the average is but 6 seems like kind of a lot. Not that my son cares, of course... the more the merrier, right??!! :thumb:
 
No surprise. The town is full of over 1000 appointees and family members, and there aren't that many places to stay. A couple of the B&Bs belong to parents of current and alumni mids!

Should make for lively conversation, comparing experiences.

Oops, speaking about Annapolis, but still applicable.

Wow, six does seem like a lot. But, I think it'd be fun. My host is also housing more than one appointee, but there will only be two of us. :smile:
 
I got a call about 3 days ago from my sponsor. He is one of the AOCs at the academy. But....i never asked if there was more than one of us staying with him. We'll see. The more the merrier lol

they just sent me an email, and they said that they would call by the end of the day tomorrow with information. the person in charge said there was an unusual number of applicants this year, so things were slow.

Actually I found out he is in his year of "training" by going to school. He just got stationed there 3 months ago. I think he is an AOC for next year, not sure. His name is Scott Poteet....familiar?
