Good Ridance...

I know that the Marine Corps have a week long program that college professors can attend which simulates (to a degree) what Marine life is like. A friend of mine recently (2 years or so age) attended and loved it. He's pro military but I firmly believe that people who have such strong opinions on the military or "social justice" issues should be exposed to the respective jobs of the professions they claim to be experts about. After which you still feel the same, then you have made informed opinions after being through what the profession you're protesting experiences (to a degree).

Can't see many College or University Professors signing up for the program. It is a shame that the civilian population is becoming more and more removed from the military and veterans. Kipling was correct and said When the drums begin to roll you are all heroes. The Professors might loose some weight in the program but not more insight.

My friend is a part-time professor at a community college.

And he probably never served but if he did more power to him. Try the real thing not a garbage "Summer School" for Professors. It will probably not change their opinion but will pump the resume. " Wow I tried it, mostly for a joke"! One of my best history Professors was a great joker and we had great time in every class. He was a decorated Marauder from Burma but I didn't find it out until I read his obituary. He was a great man.

well "walking a mile in my shoes" can sometimes be an eye opener for some, sometimes people criticize out of sheer ignorance.

liberal moron

Don't lump them all together, I have some good friends that consider themselves Liberal, big supporters of the military and a few have served. I think this guy falls into the straight up "Moron" category. I agree with you, I'd love to see the YouTube video of him spouting off around the right group of people.
