Hello All,

I have been wondering lately, are there any conditions that are NOT disqualifying for DoDMERB?

Would, say, Rosacea be a Non-DQing condition? I know a lot of people have that.

Thanks in advance!

Rosacea is a DQ. Maybe excessive foot smell isn't? Excessive flatulence isn't, but probably should be.

Rosacea is a DQ??!

I’m curious, where did you find this info?

You find out all kinds of things when checking here compulsively while dealing with DoDMERB. There is a long, long list of codes on the Dodmerb website for all of the potentially disqualifying conditions. I highly recommend reading it in your spare time!

I have searched what Falcon A has posted and rosacea is not on the DQ list. Is this all-inclusive?

I am not a doctor. I believe this document is inclusive for SA appointments and ROTC scholarships.

While Rosacea is not listed in the DoDI DoDMERB document, it does describe symptoms that could be attributed to a condition like Rosacea...

Rosacea is not on the list of DQ conditions, but I have seen posters in the forum who say they got DQ'ed at the DODMERB level and not given a waiver by the respective WA for it.

It's one of the conditions that I haven't been able to find a pattern or logic for decisions.

If you see someone getting DQ'ed for rosacea and posting it on this forum, then hopefully they will indicate the exact diagnosis (and diagnosis code) used by DODMERB.

As Falcon suggested, rosacea can be severe enough to the point you start getting signs/symptoms (papulopustular lesions) that are very similar to acne (which is DQ if severe or cystic) or the phymatous type that can be disfiguring.

I’d imagine they DQ rosacea similarly to how the DQ acne—if it is severe enough, it is a DQ
