My NROTC Unit will be attending the training in Great Lakes this summer and I just got the list of items to bring today. I need to bring one set of Professional Civilian Attire (PCA).
It is listed as:
  • Collared Shirt (polo on long sleeve)
  • White Undershirt
  • Khaki pants (shorts are not acceptable)
  • Dress shoes and socks
  • Belt
What is the female equivalent for the dress shoes and socks? Black flats, nude heels, Sperry’s? Guidance would be highly appreciates.

I would say something more along the lines of Sperry’s. Most males will be in khakis, polo or button down and some type of causal leather slip on like a driving moc or lace up leather shoe. I wear khakis a lot for work and wear mocs or some slip on Bjorns I have. Get used to this look at its often the accepted military officer dress for deployments and other functions. Half the time they don’t know how to address the female equivalent. For a training environment, I would do what I could to blend in. Later on, you can start to personalize and feminize some. But just my 2 cents.

I typically go with black flats when I’m attending an international conference (my one opportunity to wear civilian clothes in a professional setting), but really any nice shoe that isn’t a tall heel will work fine

For a white undershirt, would that just be a t-shirt? Or is it something different for females?

Do you mean for under blues? It may depend on the service, but at least in the AF, the guys wear white undershirts with their blues but most of the women I know don’t. For those that do, it’s whatever is comfortable and not visible- usually a tank top or v neck of some kind

My daughter bought a pair of short low-heeled dress booties in brown, which she wore for winter months. This summer, slip-on vans sneakers in gray were acceptable.

Oops, should have gone back and read the original question - I’ll stick with what I said though, guys typically wear a white undershirt with a collard shirt. You can wear whatever shirt you want that looks nice, with whatever undergarments you normally wear (white T-shirt or not). I usually go with a loose fitting blouse of some kind and roll up the sleeves 3/4 of the way, but as long as you don’t look ratty, there is a lot of flexibility when it comes to professional civilian attire
