Questions for Prior Enlisted to USMAPS

I am currently clearing and preparing to go on leave to report to USMAPS this year.

I had some questions regarding gear and clothing.

- My uniforms have everything sewn on, do I need to have Velcro uniforms?

- Do I need to have my ASUs set up to reflect my current ERB/rank?

- Do I bring things such as my camelback/cold weather gear or will I be reissued gear?

- Should I just purchase new uniforms since mine are faded and old, or will I have an opportunity to DX my uniforms while at USMAPS?

While you are waiting for a helpful post here, you can call MAPS. You have the standing to do so, and they will have the most current information. When I read your questions, being a squid, I immediately thought “ask the chief,” the Navy version of finding the right senior enlisted person who always knows all this stuff.
