Does anyone know if you are able to because I am unsure whether if there is a swearing in ceremony where you commit to the college. I am a reapplicant.

Absolutely! Norwich is a private Senior Military College offering ROTC in all services. Norwich is like all other non Federal Service Academy. So you can reapply anytime before you reach your max regulation age. I was accepted to Norwich so I double checked on this issue before applying. If you were applying from a Service Academy, you will have to resign your Appointment before receiving one from another. So you can also apply from another SA but you will have to take the risk of resigning your existing Appointment from your class. I guess only way you would do this is if you have high certainty you can receive an Appointment, but still no guarantee. This may require staying in close contact with your Admissions Regional Director and your Congressman.

Absolutely. Many do it.
Here is the thing, I received their presidential scholarship which helps pay 25k per year at the school. Will I have to pay this back and ahould I contact my admissions counseor for Norwich on this matter?

Presidential Scholarship doesn't have to be paid back.

Give Norwich a full chance tho. Treat it like you're gonna stay. DS talked to many USNA "rejects" while visiting and between talking with them and the opportunities Norwich offers that USNA doesn't, he's planning on not re-applying.

You earned that scholarship! It’s yours. Also if you got NROTC Scholarship use that too. It’s yours you earned it. Norwich will first use your NROTC Scholarship then supplement with Presidential / Provost towards your total cost of attendance. Congrats and enjoy Norwich!

Thank you both. I am being open to see what Norwich brings and waiting to see what I will experience there but USNA is still my #1 as of right now. Whether that will change when at Norwich I do not know. again Thanks!

Excellent attitude! Stick to the plan but keep an open mind and give 100% in your community. This will build character and strong community and fraternity. Stay in touch with your Admissions counselor. You can work with your old or new BGO. I believe this option exists. Visit the Academy again if opportunity presents. Shows enthusiasm. Good luck son.

My DS is USNA 2022

DS BGO passed him off the area BGO coordinator for re-applying so no guarantees haha
