As a matter of fact, didn't the USAF suggest a "Space Corps" as part of the Air Force some time ago, and the President didn't like it then?
"Space Force" sounds just as silly as "Space Corps" to me, but I like the idea of taking initiatives to reduce space clutter and reduce satellite collisions. Heck, NORAD routinely tracks nearly 18,000 things in orbit right now, and some estimates say that there may be over 30,000 pieces of junk up there in low and high Earth orbit.
