DS have been working on his applications this week and next week. Anyone worked on their Fitness test yet? It needed to get the DOBMERB invites. I’ll appreciates starts to those who like to share. Thx
 
You need to have 50% of your application handed in before they put in for your DOMERB.
I do believe that you need the fitness test done.
 
DODMERB is a decision that is made based on the quality of the written applications. "If you pass stage one" then you go to stage 2 type of deal. Fitness is, I believe, due prior to Feb. 1. Your paperwork will describe it, and will have specific requirements for each step of the way. Things could change this year, for sure, so please read the paperwork carefully. In the past, fitness was not a prerequisite for DODMERB referral. Fitness is not a prerequisite for a LOA. With regards fitness, take it very seriously. Do not take fitness until you are ready to and will pass it. In other words, practice practice practice, and work out work out work out. Only after doing so should you take the fitness test. And, be sure to comply with the test's requirements. And, no, your coach cannot give you the test.

Applicants only needed to take DODMERB once right? It doesn’t matter who or what Academy requested it, right? DS got the aprove email followed by the DODMERB sign in, applications, schedule (we stop from there: needed to call on Monday for the eye appt)
 
Yes, your DoDMERB exam is the same for all academies and ROTC programs. You only have to do one exam and one eye exam unless a problem turns up and the academy (ies) or ROTC program (s) request(s) more follow-up. Glad you are doing it early. That way if an unforseen issue comes up, you have time to deal with it. Well done!
