School ended for me on the 19th, but my school does not send out transcripts until the first week of July, when they are automatically forwarded to all the senior classes' colleges. Will this be a problem on R-day? Additionally, since the transcripts are automatically forwarded should I still hand in my request for final transcript form? My school has a very strict policy about giving out transcripts to students, so getting one myself would not be an option.

Talk to your guidance counselor and see if she can get yours out as soon as they are available.
West Point understands that many New Cadets graduate late.
Early in Beast you will take your placement tests, those scores along with AP Scores and your transcripts will determine your schedule.
It will be fine.

yea i just emailed my contact at USMA and she said everything is all set.

The placement tests are during Beast? How will that work? We just take different subject tests?

Yes, you will take placement tests by subject during Beast. I don't know exactly how it works but it is during the first 2-3 weeks.

And here I was thinking it would just be physical fitness, military training, and the random book knowledge...we have to do actual school work during Beast. :unhappy:

Most of your first few weeks of Beast are going to be spent waiting in lines...

And briefings! My son said the worst part of beast was the first couple of weeks...all the issue points, standing in line and briefings (he called it "death by powerpoint")

Don't let us scare you Finest...take it one day at a time and keep a good attitude.

And...sometimes placement tests are on days after tons of PT...so you have to think when you are exhausted!
