Questions about letters

Hi there! I have a boyfriend who is going to BCT and I have a question that worry’s me.
Do caudres take a read letters out loud? I sent one to him that might be a little explicit and don’t want him to get any trouble. Thanks! There is no “attention” grabbing stickers, pictures, or anything if such just a folded piece of white paper.
 
Cadre should not read their basics' letters. However, people (even cadets) occasionally do what they are not supposed to, so I wouldn't count on it.

Thank you! My main worry was it being read allowed during mail call. Ive read that it is illegal to even open them without the receiver present too so I just hope for the best!
 
Legally they can't open someone else's mail, yes. That is indeed a felony. However, if a cadre (not sure on the exact term) sees a letter from a girl with a different surname, adressed to one of the basic cadets, I can almost guarantee that they'll know it's a letter from a girlfriend.
Now, whether they read it aloud really just depends on the person who sees it, but if I were you, I wouldn't write anything that you wouldn't want to be read aloud in the first place, considering anyone could just look over his shoulder to read it.

Either way this thread should probably be in a different sub forum.
