A question for the Brain Trust

If it's NPA, it has to be Trader Jon's . That was always first call, last call usually the Flora-Bama, and maybe McGuires or Seville Quarter in between
back then it was 8 hours 'bottle to throttle' - i'm sure it's bit stricter now.....

My wife says that you have to go to Cap'n Fun and get an original Bushwacker.
I can't stand those kinds of drinks, but the Diesel Fuel at Flounder's isn't bad.

Of course Trader Jon's was involved, what better place to learn about the history of Naval Aviation (and other things) . The purpose of PROTRAMID is professional training, isn't it ? (See how I returned the thread back to the OP's original question ? :))

Rule was "12 hours bottle to brief" when I was in , with a few unwritten caveats such as open bottles have to be finished. Needless to say, and without diverting the thread further, a lot of adult beverages have been abused in those last minutes leading up to the cutoff.

8 hours/ 12 hours.......220/221, whatever it takes

i may be confusing the rule as written vs recollections.....

also, to keep this on topic - you'll find a world of difference between PROTRAMID and 1st Class summer cruise. I deployed on Med cruises twice during the summer, and both times we had several sets of mids in the ready room. In addition to actually flying off the boat, they got to witness/participate in squadron liberty in places like Palma and Rhodes. If they weren't sure about aviation before that cruise they certainly were afterwards

My son talked my wife into ordering a Diesel Fuel at Flounder's, born from that experience was her new nickname..."Pensacola Mom"
