Hello--new poster here to the Coast Guard Academy and in reviewing the older posts , I saw references to the larger class size hoping to get the Academy to a 1,000 cadets number. Was there any validity to the statements posted a year or so ago? I saw that 288 received appointments for the class of 2022. I wonder how many eventually accepted and showed up on reporting day. DS is hoping to be a part of class 2023.

they actually took less cadets for 2022 class. at info sessions last year they stated they wanted smaller classes not larger.

Put forth your best application possible and hope for the best.

Class of 2022 Stats. 281 U.S. and 11 international cadets Of the 281 U.S. cadets, 42% are women, 36% are underrepresented minorities, 45% are recruited athletes, 47 states are represented, and about 40% attended AIM. This will be the most diverse class to walk through the gates of the Coast Guard Academy

I believe i saw a number somewhere that almost 400 were offered appointments and I believe all but one of the 292 listed above reported to SI day
