My DS submitted his NROTC application but has heard nothing from his recruiter to schedule his interview. He has sent two emails in 10 days and still no response. I'm sure this is a busy time. Is this normal? Any suggestions? Thanks!

When sending emails and not getting responses, the next step is to pick up the phone.

Then, after that, go to your local recruiting office in person.
I'm not saying don't do that, but NROTC recruiting is handled at the district level. While going to speak to your local recruiter you may find they are more interested in recruiting you than helping you. That's what they're there for. That's their job. As long as you have your spidey senses turned on and don't sign anything, you should be OK.

I actually requested info on NROTC from the Marine Corps recruiting website, but it took awhile. Luckily I did so in sophomore year...

+1 kinnem.

DS's NROTC coordinator was also a recruiter for Navy Nuclear. Tried to convince DS that deferred enlistment into the Nuke program was a good plan C if USNA and NROTC fell through.
