I remember reporting to C/1Sgt Plowman in 1984. The guy looked like he had to shave with a weed eater and I was scared the tootsie roll size wad of Copenhagen was going to fly out of his lip and hit me in the face ...

My First Sergeants first words to me were "Get your eyes off me smack". That's when the reality of the situation hit me and I knew it was going to be a rough week.
