DODMERB

I believe it is just a basic medical check up to make sure you do not have like a disease, defects, etc. Basically, just want to see a healthy candidate. One thing is for sure, be prepared to take off your pants and show them your butt.

I suggest going to the DODMERB website to read about their role, and browsing the DODMERB forum here on SAF, especially Stickies.

The DODMERB exam is a major hurdle to clear, easy for some, surprisingly hard for others, because of medical history DQs that have to be cleared up and may/may not be waived. The process looks at two main things: current state of health, and history, past or current, of any conditions that are DQ. The earlier you get it done, the better, especially if the DQ-remedial-waiver/no waiver process drags into the late spring.
