Ive just been asked for an interview for USCGA. Does this have any impact, meaning, or bearing on my application? Thanks.

An interview is always a good thing (unless you screw up the interview). It means you’re in the running. The alternative is they could have not offered you an interview and just rejected you outright. Always take the opportunity to make your case in person.

Well then the email makes a lot more sense then. So does that mean if you are not recommended for an interview you are not in the running?
DS is done, but his PFE administrator has not uploaded his results yet.

I don't know, but I would imagine they extend the offer of an interview to everybody who applies. I would imagine that it is perhaps like the Naval Academy, where they wait for a certain level of completion before coordinating an interview. Again, this is purely speculation on my part.
I want to update my comment. I received an email yesterday from our state coordinator. It sounds like Admissions may require an interview only for certain applicants, or for all. The wording was a little unclear, such that candidates who are qualified may not necessarily get an interview. Perhaps Objee can step in and clarify.

The admissions office will identify applicants to interview if they need amplifying information to make an admissions decision, this includes LOA applicants and appointed students.

I have completed my application and the status is Application Complete - Ready for Review. I have not heard yet to be interviewed and awaiting response from my admission officer. I have to stay patient through the process.
DS received a second email today about an interview. It read almost the same as the first but indicated that his file has been at least initially reviewed. Still told him he would be contacted so he waits
Did he/she also receive the dodmerb or just the interview so far?

DS completed his application about a week ago. We received the email asking for an interview this afternoon. He is attending CFAD next week and emailed his admissions officer who said they would do the interview while he is on campus. Hope this is a good sign.

I just received an email requesting an interview but haven't received an email about dodmerb. Is that irregular?
Yes, I never got any DODMERB request, however when I logged into the DODMERB site I saw that am already qualified for USCGA. My DODMERB was requested by the other 3 academies and I think when I submitted my application USCGA automatically initiated DODMERB.
Since then I went through the interview and now am just waiting for their decision.

CGA don’t need Dobmerb to review your application. But you need it done by April. DS also didn’t request Dobmerb to send to CGA. DS sent his Admin Officer a copy of his qualified letter from Dobmerb. How was your interview and how long? Good luck!
