I submitted the online application for my senator and mailed in my transcripts and recommendations, however, the deadline is Monday and I'm pretty sure my mailed letters will arrive a few days later. I submitted the online application before the deadline so will my application not close or what? Any advice would be appreciated.

The definitive answer must come from MOC staff. Every MOC is free to do things a bit differently. So go straight to the source and explain what happened. Best wishes to you.

Some MOC require everything to be handed in on time, others allow certain things to be late. For example, one of my senators allow recent SAT scores to be sent in late. It all depends, but call your MALO to be sure.

Some MOC will accept packets as long as they are post marked by the deadline- I would check website or call the MOC's office that handles nominations

They wouldn't take it even though it was in the mail before the deadline. Well too bad. I still have one other senator and congressman.

The military is about accomplishing the mission. If you're early, you are on time. If you are on time, you are late.

Details count.

For your remaining MOC packages, I suggest that you place your docs in a nice presentation folder, and use overnight mail (with confirmation of delivery) or hand carry the package into the MOC office.

you could have overnighted it with Fed Ex or UPS to insure the Monday deadline. You also could have sent it priority mail to insure the deadline. I would not wait till the last minute on your last two chances for a nomination. Doesn't matter how great an applicant you are or if you get the appointment -no nomination no appointment.

I had to fedex from overseas - it got there a week early b/c I paid for it to. I honestly hesitated but then realized "this could save me how many thousands of dollars in tuition??" and then pressed the "Pick up from my house" button. Keep pressing on the other senator and congressman; nothing you can do now if they said "no" - chalk it up to experience and fingers crossed from the others
