VMI Cadet #1 at Marine Platoon Leadership Course

Texas A&M also had a Commandant's Trophy winner! This is the 2nd Commandant Trophy recipient in the last 4 years for A&M.
Notable for VMI: 4th winner in 6 years (impressive!) and the Commanding General of USMC recruiting, who presented the award to this outstanding VMI cadet, also happens to be a VMI alum!
Very impressive for both schools!

No real data but anecdotally it seems the SMC schools do well in earning top spots in the PLC and OCS courses. These are followed by those schools where the students get access to obstacle courses, confidence courses and some of the other "fun" aspects of these courses. That said, I have also seen top graduates from other NROTC units also.

In my experience, this recognition doesn't always translate to TBS, MOS school or the fleet. A Marine Officer's job comprises of a lot more than those qualities measured at PLC or OCS.

"A Marine Officer's job comprises of a lot more than those qualities measured at PLC or OCS."
True statement and well said by USMCGrunt!
Hope all these soon-to-be young officers continue to learn from their NCOs/fellow officers, and prove to be exceptional marines!

Thanks for your support!
I humbly request that you consider that Marine should always be written with a capital M, and rightly so.
It's okay to capitalize when you say it out loud, too. ;)

I thought you said it should be in all caps because it was an acronym????
