Just a curious question of about how many apply and how many are accepted into USMMA each year?
The acceptance rate is listed between 11% - 17% depending on the year (going back who knows how far!). I believe that for the academies, it is fourth ranked in terms of acceptance rate.
Coast Guard is #5. Yes lowest acceptance rate to highest in order. The acceptance rate is listed between 11% - 17% depending on the year (going back who knows how far!). I believe that for the academies, it is fourth ranked in terms of acceptance rate.
Do you know which is #5? And I'm assuming you mean in terms of lowest to highest rate?
Just looked up the latest acceptance rates according to Business Insider:
USNA: 9%
USMA: 10%
USMMA: 15%
USAFA: 17%
USCGA: 18%
So it looks like in 2018, USMMA moved to the #3 spot.

That’s already an aging Stats for USNA
https://www.usna.edu/Admissions/_files/documents/ClassPortrait.pdf
USNA Class of 2022:
8.5% Acceptance Rate
88% Enrollment Yield (Harvard 82%)
88.5% Female Yield
87.9% Male Yield
Highest SAT in Academy History - per “Supe”
Top 25% SAT/ACT Verbal 760/32, Math 760/32
28% Enrolled Female
The 8.5% acceptance rate is an outright lie however you slice it. That's (total acceptances/total number who started the application). A more interesting number would be the (total acceptances/the number who are 3Q'd).
USNA might have have a higher yield than Harvard, but it's obvious that there are a lot more IQ points at Harvard than USNA. If you put the average USNA midshipman into Harvard, I think the results would be disastrous.
