Do you want to make an appropriate statement? Wear a nice dress but it should be somewhat conservative. This is not the time to display lots of cleavage or very short skirt/dress.I know it seems like a silly question, but all the advice on this forum in terms of what to wear for the nomination interview is for guys. Any suggestions for all the female applicants? What's the best thing to wear? Thanks!
Do you shake hands with the candidates that you interview? We live in a very casual part of the country, but DD wore nice gray pants, blue cropped blazer and simple flats. Everything was clean and pressed. Nothing fancy, but she showed that she meant business.
Oh, and stand up straight and give a firm handshake.
Interesting. I could understand MOC panels not shaking hands because of the sheer number of people in the room during a group interview. The interview teams that I've worked with rarely do so

However on a one on one BGO interview, why wouldn't you shake hands?
Four years ago, my DS did not shake hands during his MOC panel interview, but did shake hands on his NROTC/MO officer interview and his BGO interview.
Ashamedly, (my wife scolds me for this) I tend to de-brief my DS after important events that I cannot attend.kudos to you for knowing the details of your son's interview handshakes.
If one is going to shake hands, be sure to use the upper-handed double-palm grab. It's most effective according to the TV commercials I watch.
