Class of 2023 USMMA Appointment DIY Thread

Look like it is time to start this thread as it seems we have some LOAs trickling out and I have knowledge of at least one appointment offered out there! As in previous years, here’s the format:

1) Your Forum Handle / Self, DS, or DD/ Date notified/Accepted, Declined or Undecided/Nomination Source-State, and if applicable, which senator and/or congressional district / LOA if applicable

Example:

1) azmilmom / Self/ Oct 30 / Accepted / State / LOA

Just copy the list from the last entry and add yours at the bottom. Welcome to the KP family!

Great to see this started!
Though in earlier years, some did put Congressional District, that does put specific info out there that makes it harder to retain anonymity. May I respectfully suggest asking for just the State? I know that for USMMA, the nom could come from anywhere in the state, but it might be just a bit too much info out there. This was recently discussed in the USNA forum, just going with the state, to preserve the nature of the forum.

I think that is a good idea and will amend the format. Hope it is okay that I began this thread as once I heard of actual appointments starting to be given, I wanted a place for those appointees to record their good news as in past years. :)

CHANGE IN FORMAT! I changed the original post; please list State only: Your Forum Handle / Self, DS, or DD / Date Notified / Accepted, Declined or Undecided / Nomination Source: State and Senatorial, Congressional, Presidential etc. / LOA if applicable.

Example:

1) azmilmom / Self / Oct 31 / Accepted / Arizona senatorial / LOA

Congratulations and welcome SAVDad96! My DS was undecided on his appointment also until he visited. Then the decision was easy. Have you been to Kings Point yet? Good luck with your decision and ask away with any questions.

If you are announcing a LOA pending a nomination and appointment, hold off making the posting until you receive the formal appointment.

Thanks kpmom2013. Yes, he visited the campus for an overnight and really liked it.
