I just got the email congratulating me on receiving the NROTC Marine Option scholarship today, but when I checked the status of my application online it still shows as no decision made about my status or me having been assigned a school. Is it normal to take awhile between receiving the good news and getting the official portal to update? Also when can I expect to be assigned a school? I applied Georgia Tech as first choice and U of M as second and got accepted into U of M Engineering (early action). Fingers crossed for USNA still...
I was also wondering if females in NROTC are expected to cut their hair the same way females at USNA are?
Also for anyone anxiously awaiting their status my stats are:
4.35 weighted GPA (3.97 unweighted)
9 AP classes and 7 college credits from dual enrollment
1450 SAT (700 math 750 reading)
2 years varsity track and cross country, captain of golf team, President of leadership team, and head of technical theater crew
262 PFT
My interviewing officer also seemed to like me quite a bit...
Best of luck to those still waiting and thanks for any help you can offer.
