Is there a "general" timeline after 'medical data entry' to expect status change?

entries in dodmerb have changed and the latest says "medical data entry" (meaning exams received and data entered into DODMERB) - wondering what a generalized timeline is for overall status update might be - still showing "under dodmerb review" -- Not too concerned; exams were pretty straightforward and uneventful - more just curious. Thanks!

Not sure how the government shutdown affects all this, since DoD is apparently not part of it.

TYPICALLY Office of Admissions civilian personnel are furloughed during a government shutdown. The remaining military staff will be on duty, however.
Candidates typically experience delays in application processing.

Candidate Medical Exams and Waivers: USUALLY because of a government shutdown, the medical examination and waiver processes will be delayed or in abeyance.
Medical waivers are typically delayed until the furlough is lifted.

Waivers too? I thought the naval academy admissions and superintendent were the knee who did this. :/

At USNA specifically - Office of Admissions staff is made up of several civilian personnel - who are typically furloughed during a government shutdown.
I had heard through the Midshipman grapevine that civilian professors would not be there today (first day of classes after Winter Break). I don't know if that is true, or not.

LOL this is going to be torture. My son was hoping his record was strong enough for an early waiver.

Now we will have to wait until April for the denial or approval.

At least now we can assume no news means shutdown caused the wait.

I feel bad for the kid. Although if I knew he would be granted the waiver, I’d probably think the wait builds his character.

I appreciate your input.

I received email from my dodmerb technician after the shutdown began as well as email from higher up the chain (both civilian) so it doesn't appear so - at least not USAFA

*LITERALLY* changed today apparently -- now the events log says "date exam reviewed" as today.

That is wonderful news. Thanks for the update.

Curious - when were the applicant’s medical appointments done? My DS did his Nov 7 and are still under review. Don’t anticipate any problems - apponintmet went smoothly and have no past history of anything - but taking forever! Has NROTC scholarship to a school must ED to get in, has USNA nomination...waiting.

Also, FYI, DOD Civilians are not furloughed (I am one). Admissions folks are in the same category.

Appointment on 18 August, had to email several times this week to get it changed from "under DODMERB review", no anticipated problems here either.

For NROTC, I had my exams on the 25th and 30th of January, and was notified that I was qualified today, so it takes around a month for the Marine Option NROTC, not sure if it would be different for other commissioning routes but since it is the same basic exam process I imagine they would be similar.

How long does it generally take for the usafa portal to reflect "qualified" after DODMERB has stamped it? My medical just got stamped "potential pilot qualified" on dodmil, but it is still showing "incomplete" on my academy portal.
Thoughts??
