My wife and I are planning to attend this Fridays AIM II parents session. I have been asked the age old question by my spouse....What should I wear?

What is appropriate dress for the event. Business Casual,Coat and Tie?

Any AIM parent pointers will be appreciated.

Also, are there any recommendations for New London restaurants?

Thanks

Shorts and a golf/polo shirt is fine. It's gonna be hot sitting in Billard Hall for a few hours.

I attended AIM Session I, last Friday. I second Luigi! :thumb:

In agreement here too!

My husband and I attended last Friday. I would also suggest comfortable shoes so that you can take a tour of parts of the campus between lunch and the drill competition. We had enough time to walk around and take a few pictures. We both wore shorts as were most of the parents.

I agree with whatever you are comfortable wearing inside a hot gym, an air conditioned theatre, the bleachers in sun or shade, and walking around.

Definitely try to attend the admissions brief if that is part of the schedule. We learned alot from that last year; take their nuggets of wisdom to heart.

If you need any assistance getting around the academy, the AIM folks have golfcarts to assist.

schedule when dropping off for AIM

Hi All

Do parents just drop off and leave or is there a program for parents?

Nothing on "drop-off" day.

Parents are encouraged to attend the Friday session where they can watch the engineering competitions and the graduation, as well as attend an admissions briefing.

should drop off be early or later on in the afternoon for example 2:30/3:00

you are instructed what time turn in is on the AIM paperwork.. My daughter had to report in before 1pm .... everything has times!!!

Pictures

If there is anyone who is attending AIM session 2 family day could you please take some pictures and post them. My daughter is there right now and I am unable to attend...

It would be so appreciated!
Thanks

Thanks for the info. Enjoyed the visit. Gorgeous day, overall a very positive experience. We were able to tour the campus on Thursday evening, and watched the AIMsters practice on the drill field.

BZ to the cadre. Cadre appeared to be doing a great job working with our kids. Disciplined yet human. My son enjoyed the evening "sea stories". Overall parental warm fuzzies.
