Hey, my application is done and has been done for over a month now and nowhere does it say hold on my status. It just says my candidate ID. Is this normal?
Yes, that is normal. For those who got their applications in early, the transition to being found qualified and achieving "hold" status is usually quicker. Also, not everyone will see a hold status step. Some applicants receive an offer of appointment without being on hold. It's day 365: still on hold status. [emoji28] Seriously, the wait is truly killing me
I think it was just a very very very rough estimate! Haha! It's day 365: still on hold status. [emoji28] Seriously, the wait is truly killing me
How can it be day 365? That's a full year and applications weren't even accepted until June 1?
The new superintendent is not giving as many chances to those mids who are failing multiple classes and failing sea projects. It seems like more mids are being separated from the academy after last trimester and last sea year. That leaves more room for the incoming class. I would say the 280 figure is a good low end estimate.
No, my post is not based on "heresay and speculation," but I cannot be more specific without identifying my source(es). Yes, the separation decisions are made on a case by case basis; just be aware that there will definitely be less leniency going forward. The new superintendent is not giving as many chances to those mids who are failing multiple classes and failing sea projects. The first part of this sounds like a lot of hearsay and speculation. The supe just allowed a mid I knew whom we all thought was getting kicked out 95% with a big case against him to stay. People are separated on a case by case basis. The class size has been 280 for the past 2 years, it will probably be 280 this year. It was less in previous years because of renovations in progress, it will probably be 280 for 2023 as well.
Same here!DD is on hold and is a sports recruit. The waiting may be killing me more than her!
Same.
