Va Tech Emerging leaders scholarship

Does anyone know the timeline and the number they will give out?
 
We received this:

"You will also be eligible to compete for an Emerging Leader Scholarship (ELS) for $12,000 over four years, $2,000 your first year, $3,000 each your sophomore and junior year, and $4,000 your senior year. We offer at least 200 Emerging Leader Scholarships to incoming cadets each year. The ELS is a merit-based scholarship, so you can combine it with a national ROTC scholarship, if you earn one. All ELS recipients will be mailed a notification letter no later than April 15th."
 
Also--I read that email to indicate that there's no additional application to fill out for the ELS but I'm happy to be re-educated if you learn differently.

Correct No separate process they will just send you a letter if you are awarded it with the yearly breakdown
 
There was a VT Financial Aid office FB live a few days ago. I bet the recording is still on the VT Admissions FB page. I swear I heard them say on the broadcast that the ELS offers were already given out but I 1. Really hope I am wrong and 2. Was really sleepy and might've dozed on and off while listening ;)

But if you check that recorded Live broadcast, they do address it. Let us know what you learn.

At the Cadet overnight brief on Thursday, they said that the ELS letters are still being stuffed and mailed. They hope to have all of them mailed by tomorrow.
 
Nothing on ELS. DS Got awarded extra year on AROTC scholarship Friday. I am beyond thrilled for him. Now he can participate in summer programs. Anyone have a clue if there are remaining ELS
 
Did notification of ELS scholarship only come via mail, or was it on the VT Guest portal too (like where the regular financial aid info is). Our mail is notoriously slow so was wondering if there's also electronic notification?
 
I got it also!! I never applied for it but do they just randomly give it to people who got accepted into the Corps of Cadets?
