Every year, the near the end of Indoc, the candidates are rousted out of bed and marched down to the war memorial for the "Honor Ceremony." There, in front of the memorial that bears the names of all the midshipmen as well as all of the graduates who lost their lives in WW2 they swear an oath not to lie, cheat or steal. I understand that it is a pretty moving ceremony and the photos from last year were among some of the best I've ever seen at KP

You are correct. The honor ceremony was held last night at 2230. It's funny because the candidates think that its the middle of the night but really it's not that late. Haha.

They are marched to the bell (with some creepy drum music playing) and given a speech about honor. They then proceed to take the honor code oath.

Last night there was added affect with all of the rain and wind. I'm sure some of them thought they were marching towards their death. Haha. We took some pictures I'm working to get them on the parent's page.

Your candidates are almost done! Soon they will have the ability to email and be on the internet.
