Should I Email the Director of Noms/Appts for USNA?

Hi everyone! I forgot to mention that the Director of Noms/Appts emailed me March 7th asking if I’d accept an appointment in the event I received the VP nomination (I’m that LOA/no nomination case!).

So, since I’ve been trying to get a status update, I was wondering if it’d be worth a try to email them? Or if I should just call the Admissions office directly today? Maybe I’d be able to ask if the VP noms have already gone out, or if I might still have a shot at receiving some sort of nomination and, as a result, an appointment.

Thank you in advance for any suggestions! :)

What did you reply when they asked you back in the 7th?

Did you reply then? If you did and you reached out the other day... hang tight. Follow up in a few days with a call to your admissions counselor.

I said:

Dear LT ____,

Thank you very much for reaching out, I appreciate it!

If given the opportunity to receive an appointment to USNA with a Vice Presidential Nomination, I would most definitely accept the appointment.

Very Respectfully,

And then she responded saying that all admissions decisions would be made by April 15th.

Hi NavyHoops! I’m planning to call in a little bit. Do you have any suggestions as to what I should mention to make sure I provide the admissions office with the information they may need? Thank you :)

I tried but I had gotten home too late, and the admissions office was closed. I’ll try today again.
