For those who already received both the BFE and PTR packages, how many days passed after receiving the BFE? (Assuming that order)

The time period between receiving the appointment folder and the PTR package are irrelevant unless you were very recently appointed to USNA (in that case your PTR package is probably en route). PTR packages were mailed in the beginning of April, and appointees have been receiving them in the mail since mid-April.

My DD accepted her appointment April 4. She has not recieved a PTR packet, yet.

My DS accepted his appointment on March 17 and received the BFE on April 12. He still hasn't received the PTR, yet either. I was beginning to wonder if something has happened to it. Thank you for letting others know they aren't alone in the wait for a PTR.

The PTR is also available through the portal. All documents can be printed and completed. Good alternative if you don’t receive the PTR by mail.

Well, that's new and makes perfect sense. Last year, they mailed it out as a physical package.
Having it downloadable saves money (for USNA) and time (for everyone), and I like it.

That has to be one of those "Why didn't we think of this before?" things. :bang:

Unfortunately not everything is available online, specially the appointee’s PTR letter that needs to be filled out and brought in on I-Day.

I’m also not sure that all of the forms on the website are up to date for 2023. I’ve been using it as a backup only.

Not sure but the website states “Complete the form provided in the mailed Permit to Report package and bring it with you when you report to the Academy on Induction Day. ”

There's nothing to complete on the PTR letter. Just bring to I Day

Received my Appointment Portal on March 13. BFE on April 14. Still no PTR.

Do I need to send the PTR back to USNA when completed or do I just bring it on I-Day?

You will be sending a large amount back by mail to USNA and bringing a large amount with you to I-Day. The instructions are included. I would call USNA asking about your lack of the PTR packet.

It is my suggestion that those who haven't received their PTR package contact the admissions office. Some pertinent information specific to each candidate is not available online. Have your candidate number handy if you haven't committed it to memory from occasionally checking for portal updates. They'll be able to let you know when, or if, it was sent out. Apparently, there was a glitch in the system which caused some packets to remain unsent. DS's PTR was sent but never arrived so, I encourage all who have yet to receive it to contact USNA asap.
All the best to you.
Go Navy! Beat Army!

My DD PTR arrived April 30 and said to be postmarked May 13. Between AP exams and swim meets, it got postmarked May 13, less immunization form.
