Hi I have a question,I received an Loa from usmaps a couple months ago,But I got Dq from DoDMERB because I tore my labrum during football season.My waiver request did not get to USMA till 3/19/19,And I know the deadline to accept my loa is tomorrow.I was wondering if you guys knew if I could get a time extension since I have the Loa.Or what happens if I don’t get the extension do I get the Loa taken away??
 
My DS is USNA and is in exactly the same situation. We were told that the 4/15 date did not apply to him. That may not be the case for all academies though. We have stayed in contact with his admissions counselor and let them know that all paperwork has been submitted to DODMERB.
 
Yea I got the same response,so now we’re just waiting for medical waiver
 
Totally understand! My DS got his waiver Monday and then the offer came Tuesday. He stayed in contact with his admissions counselor and continued to check in with DODERMB throughout the whole process. When did you have your surgery?

My son is still waiting to hear an answer on his waiver for USMA as well. He feels your pain. It’s been so stressful! Did DODMERB request additional testing or information for you?

I got it in November but I already got cleared to do everything

No they just sent everything to USMA when I fr Dq and I still fit loa if the doctors checked it yet
 
I got the news today that the waiver board will tell me the final decision this week
 
Thank you so much to everyone’s help,I finally got my waiver clearance today,and that was the only condition I had on my Loa,so hopefully I get my offer,thank you guys so much

Congratulations! It must be a tough process but it will be a history soon.
