Hello all. I emailed my AO on Friday with a few questions regarding the application and I have not yet heard a response. Should I email her again or wait a few more days for a response? I understand that the AOs are incredibly busy during this time, but I don't want my email to get lost. Thanks for the help!

Before emailing again, make sure you have thoroughly researched your questions to find the answers yourself. After all these years, most have been asked and answered already. If not officially on their website, then unofficially here on the forums.

Also, check your "All Mail" or "Junk Mail" folders to make sure a response didn't come in that you might have missed. That happens to me all the time when dealing with my DS's high school sports forms.

My son has emailed his AO a couple of times over the past week. He always receives a response within a few hours.

@justdoit19 is right, before you start shooting off emails to the AO's do your research, both here and on the Academy website. I would think any questions regarding the "application" have been discussed here or on the website or both. If you start bothering your AO with questions that you should have researched first it will not give a good impression of someone prepared and resourceful. Possibly instead of your AO (who is Commissioned Officer working a billet) try contacting your local or regional Admissions Partner. They could probably answer any application related questions straight up. They are normally parents of graduates or CG Aux members, and are trained to assist you, and they are more apt to be easy to work with than an AO who has maybe 1000 people they are responsible for.

Very true. But your were resourceful enough to seek out advice on this forum,so keep your chin up!

The admission officers are suppose to guide and work with local admission liaison. We had a very disengaged admission officer last year and my DD elected for USAFA appointment, which luckily was her #1 choice. USCGA was #2 and DD did attend AIM.

The admission officers are like everyone else and they have a heavy workload volume. The biggest advice is use the local admission liaison while keeping your admission officer in the loop with your progress. You are your best advocate to the academies.

If you have not heard from your AO or found out who your Admissions Partner is, contact me privately. I can get you the AP info.

I have no way to contact you until you are able to private message. It looks like you need to have 5 posts.
I saw one other thread where the person posted one word of a sentence over 5 posts and I think it counted. Try this please.

No. That’s is not allowed per the forum rules and they will be deleted. The idea is to have people make 5 constructive posts before allowing PMs.

Stealth 81: my apologies. I did not know how this worked and saw a recent post where someone had done this. It is still up so I thought it was okay.

How do I get in contact with them then?

Wait until they have 5 legitimate posts, or post the info in the forum.
