Hi Everyone,

I just got my nomination from CASA regarding my minuteman scholarship. I have gone through the entire MEPS process and have qualified. Does anyone know how many Minuteman scholarships are handed out to each state? Currently an MSIII CDT, 3.05 GPA, Neuroscience major with a lot of work experience as well.

More so, I am a non-contracted cadet right now since Im waiting for the news regarding the scholarship so I can contract. I was wondering If I can get monthly stipend since I am an MSIII?

Thank You.

The Nomination Letter is the commitment to awarding you the 2-Year MM Scholarship. At this point all you need to do is to meet all the additional requirements for contracting, ie., PASS MEPS, meeting Guard/USAR SMP Requirements, DODMERB, APFT.

Your ROTC stipend does not start until you sign your ROTC contract... $420 per month (roughly 10 months + Summer training pay).

Of course as an SMP you will also be paid as an E5.

I assume your plan was to commission into the National Guard or Reserves.

Congratulations on the Scholarship

Thank you for the response!

My recruiter and my PMS told me that it just means that there's a chance I will get it and not guaranteed. I am honestly truly confused, and would like to figure out my plan of action IOT pay for the rest of my college.
