I received a large envelope from West Point today...full of envelopes to send my application forms in. Sigh.

Thin white envelope

But the LoA came in a thin white envelope.

Well, thanks. Now I'm going to get my hopes up for every piece of mail!

A little paperwork never hurt anyone. Just remember the unofficial mottos of USMA: "Embrace the suck." and "It is what it is."

Ah, yes, the dreaded grey envelopes, my application process is almost done and theres still about 5 of them left over in my handy USMA folder i recieved at SLS. I honestly can't figure out why they sent so many? I've used one in the packet i sent to my senator, one for an employer evaluation, and one for a recommendation for ROTC nomination.....

grey envelopes

Don't pitch them just yet...once you receive an appointment there is MORE paperwork to send in ;)
