At an information session for USMA and AROTC it was mentioned that sometimes the results get stuck in the academy pipelines- or something like that- and don't make it to the ROTC side. The AROTC rep. said that once or twice they've had people redo their physicals just so they can get the results without waiting for USMA to pass them on! Can anyone clarify the process necessary to make sure all the sources you wish to get the results of DODMERB get them?

Vampsoul - Whenever a Service Academy and/or ROTC program informs DoDMERB electronically the individual is a valid applicant for their program, DoDMERB automatically transfers all statuses for that program. If another program notifies DoDMERB, we add that program to the notification list.

That is what I thought. I think something the ROTC representative said just confused me a bit. Thank you for clarifying.

vampsoul- in our experience the delay was from the ROTC HQ uploading the information to DODMERB. Once the candidate's name is uploaded, DODMERB moved efficiently. AROTC HQ moves a bit slower than the scholarship candidate would hope. This year, from what we've heard on the forums, AROTC is not requesting DODMERB physicals until the candidate receives scholarship approval.
At least you've already completed your Service Academy DODMERB, meaning when ROTC uploads your name to DODMERB, you don't have to go out and quickly have a physical. You are already in the system. Good Luck!
