> I don't know whether it was legal or permitted, but we caught and cooked crabs on the after deck of a YP in Little Creek during my 2d Class Protramid cruise. (A 1 week run down the Chesapeake to Norfolk). We caught them with raw chicken, steamed them and had a great little crab feast while standing duty on the YP (while the rest of the crew was out partying..). They were actually pretty good, considering that the water in Little Creek had something of an oily sheen.

My roommates (and occasionally me) would often fish from the seawall or Hospital Point. There isn't much *good* fishing on the yard, but there is some to be had.

It’s our thing. Weird for a mom to fish, but I grew up fishing with my siblings. My mom would take us, she did’nt fish. My husband doesn’t fish. It’s a mom and son thing.

I am a huge angler (also a mom and also an Aggie) and would give anything for any of my kids to like to fish with me! You are very lucky. My kids will only reluctantly go about once a year. I can usually twist their arm on Mother's Day!

I love your post.

Keep twisting. I just wish we weren't so busy that we could go more often.
