Very interesting. Of course, it seems to closely track congressional districts with yellow blobs around population centers, ie cities, where there would be more districts. So no real surprises there. I would be more surprised that SAF self reporting would mirror this dispersement but who knows?

Yes I just shared this as a friends son started last year...he took pictures of this on Rday for me...I found it quite interesting myself.

So, just trying to pass the time with all of you as I am sick and working from home today. I don't want to bring up the value of the LOE debate again but it seems like this was not an either/or. How many cadets received BOTH? None?

Should the graphic be updated to show if a LOE was received BEFORE the LOA? I am wondering how many of the people who indicated LOA on the updated thread also had an LOE first. That was the case at our house.

In addition, should there be a difference indicated on LOAs for recruited athletes vs. LOAs for regular old unhooked candidates? Lots of people have assumptions - does the data support?

I appreciate the data but if it is to be used to try and give an indication to future applicants, it would need to be comprehensive and consistent from year to year. It's not. I don't know if there is any rhyme or reason and we did not read much of anything into the applications of those other people. You can only control your own application. No matter how you crunch the limited self reported data we are still on the outside looking in tyring to figure out the secret formula.

Given the locations of Fort Knox and Fort Campbell, I’d expect some presidential nomination related appointments along with MOC nominated appointments.
