2Q with a nomination and LOA, just waiting on a waiver.. fingers crossed! I’m obviously super anxious... anybody else in a similar boat? Though I know I can’t be the only one, it’d be nice to see who else might be going through this grueling process with me. Best of luck to all applicants!

Just to confirm...high2024hopes and Winnie2929..are talking medical waivers, correct?

If so, Keller Army Community Hospital @ WP makes a recommendation to the Admissions Committee. The Admissions Committee then votes on the medical waiver and grants/denys on behalf of the Supt.

When that decision is made, WP Admissions pushes a button on the DoDMERB website to let us know the decision. I "believe" Admissions also posts a letter on your WP portal.

Yes, that is correct. Currently waiting for a decision on waiver request from WP. Sitting tight with fingers crossed, checking portal daily.

Her waiver was requested on January 29th. We just submitted additional medical information this past Friday.
My waiver was requested on January 14th, they never asked me for any more info though! Hopefully everything goes smoothly. I’d love to hear back from you when your daughter gets any correspondence!

My DS was notified on 23 Jan that a waiver was requested. His RC said if they needed anything they would let him know through DODMERB. No additional info has been requested. It also said be prepared to wait up to 90-120 days for a determination, which could mean possibly April-May.

They requested xrays on my daughter's ankle (torn ligament two years ago). The request came through DoDMERB. I'll update if we hear anything.

Correct....all waiver requested remedials /AMIs come through and are sent back via DoDMERB :)

Had you been notified that a waiver was initiated? How long after the initial DQ did they Initiate the waiver? We are still waiting to hear if a waiver will be initiated. Waiting is killer.

I got the DQ on December 9th and my waiver was initiated on January 14th. I was never notified that a waiver was initiated, I just logged into my portal one day and saw it. Waiting indeed is very nerve-wracking. I wish you all the best of luck, hopefully we can all get through this process together and see each other at R-Day in June!

Thank you for the information. DS got the DQ the same date as you. Still no word. But his application is still open so I guess that’s a good sign. 😂
