No not me. This is about an army medic who went to med school after age 40.

My wife was in her 30’s. There were people older than her. The class behind her had a retired O-6.

My Company Commander knob year at The Citadel did 26 years in the Army then got accepted to medical school and became a doctor at age 53, similarly one of my nursing school classmates was 60 when we graduated. Never too late to switch careers and achieve goals.

@conrack I worked with a corpsman years ago who got out and got his BS from the Citadel. Got his MD from USUHS then became one of the military’s top neurosurgeons. Retired as a captain. He wasn’t older when he went to Med school but your post reminded me of him.

Army took a cousin of mine when in his mid-30s and sent him through a state medical school close by his in-laws which helped with childcare for his many kids.

IIRC, he's now a retired O-5 still working in hospitals local to his home, on a contract basis.
