LOA ?
Does this stand for Letter of Appointment/Acceptance? CG is already offering appointments? -officer
Thanks Shellz,
But what excactly is a letter of assurance? Assurance that you are in if you pass DodMerb? Assurance that they got your transcript/forms? Can you clarify a little please? Thanks
A traditional Letter Of Assurance is a conditional appointment, nothing more. It states that if you meet the condition, you will be granted an appointment.
The "condition" for the other 4 academies is usually a nomination, but it can be anything: DODMERB, CFA, maintaining good grades, etc.
USCGA has not used them in the past, however it appears that they are using them this year with highly competitive students who successfully completed AIM last summer.
Wow...so going to AIM really is a leg up on the process, it would seem. Good to know for future reference!
is only speculation at this point and should be treated as such."however it appears that they are using them this year with highly competitive students who successfully completed AIM last summer"
My statement: is only speculation at this point and should be treated as such.
If we have not recived a LOA should we be worried?
