The Everything Drawer - Everyone has one, right? (post anything - within the rules)

My MIDN is home right now. His lady friend is a sushi goddess. They got together and made us this for dinner last night.

Tuna, creamy sriracha, avocado, cucumber, carrot, sticky rice, seaweed wrapped goodness.
I think I had about a dozen, with a can of Bushido sake.

They are cooking for us again tonight. I have no idea what it's going to be, but I'm loving it.

No bacon?

Although DD was an Irish Dancer she did dance with the pipes a few times. It is a learned thing with lots of practice.

On post #205 of this thread I put up a photo of the largest naval base in the world in the 50s with hundreds of ships. This is a current aerial of the same base with just a few ships at the piers. Three carriers are in port but it looks like the majority of the fleet is out and about.

Heat-and-humidity induced random thought:

Gal Gadot as next James Bond? Set Ian Fleming twirling in his grave? I wouldn’t even change the name, just make it part of a modern mysterious backstory in the 21st century.

She lost out on the Bond “girl” role in “Quantum of Solace.” I think she would be great as a whip-smart, lethal killer of bad guys spy beauty. She wouldn’t have any trouble with gadgets, weaponry or chase scenes.

I can’t recall which one of the regulars here (or perhaps more) has a little Gal crush. You know who you are.

Me too. Who would be the first Bond "guy"?
What age range would be appropriate? Theo James or Tom Bateman would work for me; they are mid-30’s.

I'd go with Sam Roland Heughan from Netflix Outlander. Fit guy, with an accent that harkens back to Sean Connery, who would add to the international flair.

So, had to consult with DW on this, primarily cause she's the boss and an expert in finding leading men (well, at least she did a fantastic job of it 31+ years ago, but I digress). She says, Anson Mount (Cullen Bohannon from "Hell on Wheels") hands down.
Good choice. I really like Anson Mount. Watched every episode of Hell on Wheels twice primarily because of him. I can't wait to get to the Star Trek Discovery episodes where he plays Capt Pike.
