The Everything Drawer - Everyone has one, right? (post anything - within the rules)

@Devil Doc If you like cars like that, watch Grand Prix. It was filmed during the 1965 circuit, i believe. Beautiful cars with no advertising on them. James Garner was the star.

I sent it to our 4 alumni sponsor Navy Hornet pilots. They thought it was hilarious. So well told.

You said anything so here goes.

Got home form the office turned on the TV, which had been tuned to PBS.

They were playing an old documentary called “Alone in the Wilderness”. It was filmed and narrated by a gentleman, Dick Proenneke. He built a cabin in the Alaskan wilderness with very few modern implements.

It brought back memories of DS who thought this was very cool. He aspired to be responsible for some huge biga$$ component of a Navy ship, like the catapult. He was Medically DQed from his NROTC Scholarship, but did go on to good things related to his Mech E degree...using only modern implements.

Call me boomer. I think of myself as analogue.

Went to see the movie Tenet in the theater yesterday. Yes, in the theater. Apparently word hasn't gotten around yet, because on a Friday afternoon the theater was empty. It was like our own private screening.

Great movie. Talk about blowing my mind with temporal paradoxes. Wowsers. :popcorn1:

Grand Prix Jean-Pierre Sarti: "When I see something really horrible, I put my foot down. Hard! Because I know that everyone else is lifting his."

Photo of Hopper Hall (and the footbridge to Hospital Point) yesterday.

I used to work in a building that had a two story SCIF building within the building and there were hundreds of SCIF workers and LOTS of equipment both installed and what the building produced and tested.

A couple of years after I left, they took another building where I had initially worked and made essentially the entire building into a SCIF for a different business area. This one was one story but very very large.

Here is someone with a sense of humor. I give you a 1967 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow converted into an El Camino by Lord Bamford:
