i will be attending the cadet for a day program on november 12 and i was wondering what to bring. any advice?

Per the email my son received (He did the Cadet For A Day last week):

We recommend you bring the following items with you:
Pillowcase and Sleeping Bag (we'll provide a pillow)
Business Casual Clothes (shirt, sweater, slacks, comfortable shoes - jeans are not preferred)
Jacket/Outerwear (it can be very cold in November and December)
Athletic Items (optional; gym clothes and a pad-lock for locker)
Other (sleeping clothes, bathrobe, shower shoes, towel/washcloth, toiletries)
Homework/Reading Materials (you may have some “down time” during study hour)
Spending Money (if you plan to visit the Cadet Bookstore, Souvenir Shop or Snack Bar)

How do you get invited to be a cadet for a day.

If you are a candidate, login with your email and password.
Look for events, go to the calendar, click on the event and register.

If Cadet for a Day doesn't work, email your district officer with the request or phone Admissions who will put you into their voice mail.

All places have been filled for the remaining "Cadet For A Day" programs for this fall.

Contact your Admissions Officer directly to request a slot should one become available.

However, you can still attend an Admissions Briefing and Tour, which takes place every Mon/Wed/Fri from 1300-1530.
