Hi all, first time poster here.

My child's NROTC app is complete and at CNRC, was complete I believe for the last selection board. After everything got sent in, her status on the NROTC web site said something similar to this:

"Your application is at Naval Education and Training Command for final processing and selection determination. Selection decisions will begin in late August and continue until the end of April. Once a selection decision has been made, your new status will be reflected."

A few days ago, the status changed and now says this:

"Application has been submitted online Your electronic application has been received and is being processed ...
You application is at CNRC for additional processing ...

For additional information Please contact your recruiter"

I called the recruiter and he said he had no information. I am wondering what this status change indicates (if anything). Has anyone has this happen?

I had the same thing. Your current message means it is at Pensacola ready to be reviewed according the my coordinator. I was very confused also.

Ready to be reviewed by the Selection Board? Or by something/someone else? I guess I had thought that it already went to the Selection Board, based on what it said before.

My recruiter told me therre were 2 review boards this month- today and 11/17How long does it usually take to hear ?

I've heard it may take a couple weeks for posting on the site. Watch the DODMERB site, that may change before the NROTC site. If it shows the NROTC has called for your DODMERB results you know you are getting the letter.

My son has been selected for a NROTC scholarship

My son received notification this week that he has been selected for a Navy ROTC scholarship. Still waiting for the letter from Pensacola.

They are updating the web site. If you reenter the personal information and then click on the SUBMIT button you will see the original, "Application has been submitted...."
Does not indicate change of status, just updating of NROTC web site (you'll notice on the first web page that you type in all the data that there is a note indicating you may begin seeing new pages as the web site is updated).
Hang in there!

MC Option?

Are NROTC MC option boards the same time as NROTC? Do they have the same amount of boards? Anyone know the date the first one meets? thanks

My son went through the process last year and, from my recollection, the Marine option board does not meet as often - I think they convene three times. I know the last meeting is in February and I think the one before that is in November. Prior to that, I don't know. My son's application was complete in December, he met with the captain who covers our region in January, took preliminary and final fitness tests in January, and was notified (by phone) of his scholarship award at the end of March. The letter from Pensacola didn't arrive until sometime in April.

ccfletch, congratulations to your son - glad lots of hard work paid off! I am curious: how was he notified? Was it by phone or on the website? Thank you!

My original question has been answered (sort of). According to the recruiter, the selection board "lost" some of the paperwork...and apparently the recruiters didn't make copies of everything before they sent it down. This was just revealed to us, it has probably been missing since I originally posted the question and they are just now fixing it. I am not sure how many boards were missed due to this but this has me extremely irritated.

DoDMERB status page changed!

I just checked my son's DoDMERB page for the first time in a while. It now says:
Agency: ' US Navy ROTC
Admission Status Change Date: 3-DEC-2009
Current Medical Status: Qualified Unrestricted Line (as of 03-DEC-09 )
This is in addition to the USNA qualified status. Dare we hope that this means good news is on the way for his NROTC scholarship???
:eek::biggrin:

Status changed

WOW great news I think! From everything I've read on this great site I believe that my daughter just received a scholarship through NROTC. I guess will have to wait to see which one of the schools its from. I guess once we figure out what school then we will be sweating to see if she gets accepted into it. What an opportunity, to attend the best schools the world has to offer. Her NROTC picks are
1st College Choice: VILLANOVA UNIVERSITY
2nd College Choice: DUKE UNIVERSITY
3rd College Choice: COLLEGE OF THE HOLY CROSS
4th College Choice: BOSTON UNIVERSITY
4th College Choice: UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA
Plus USNA and CGA

Congratulations PositiveThinking!!!! You should be getting a letter soon from NROTC. That's exactly how we found out about my son's scholarship. We called Pensacola the next day to confirm our suspicions. What a great day for you and your son. Go Navy!

Congratulations, PositiveThinking and LadderdaddyO!!!!!

I hope we all receive our official letters very soon, and I especially hope my mail-lady does not bend it all up like she has several other important pieces of our mail.

Oh wow! That would be great! Son's NROTC status page still says no decision has been made. I haven't mentioned anything to him because I don't want to get his hopes up. He's been accepted into Engineering at his first choice school, so I'm praying that that will be the decision. Felix, I remember from an earlier post that your son received a letter in the mail before his online status changed, right? I guess mailbox stalking will now commence!
