Finished Interviews Today

I finished the last step in my application today which was my interviews for my nomination. Now, all I can really do is sit back and wait, but do you know when the general time for hearing back if you receive your nomination is?

I remember hearing from the congressmen in late December early January.

Funny story. We got a personal call from Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) while she was obviously driving in her car because I could hear her GPS in the background.

"In one-quarter mile, turn left."

My sons were in school so she was just relaying the news to me.

"Turn left."

She was congratulating them for an excellent record of achievement.

"Proceed on 14th street, then turn right in 1 mile."

She finally had to cut the conversation short by saying, "Oh - I think I'm lost. I have to go ... anyway - congratulations to your sons."

It was hilarious.

This was in the first week of January 2009.
